Jr. Software Engineer

We're hiring a Jr. Software Engineer to build features in TypeScript and test them with tools like Postman and Playwright, for an enthusiast who takes pride in catching what others miss. (Also relevant if you're a QA Engineer, SDET, Software Development Engineer in Test, QA Automation Engineer or Quality Engineer)

Role Overview

You'll help build features and protect quality for web apps and SaaS platforms used by professionals across Western markets, splitting your time between writing code and testing it. Under senior developers and QA leads, you'll contribute to features, then turn around and hunt for what breaks them, and learn how quality gets engineered into real products.

This role is for a genuine enthusiast, the kind of person who builds side projects for fun, can't resist poking at edge cases, and can't wait to ship something real.

We care more about your ability, your curiosity, and your hunger than your years. If you can code and think like a tester and want to get sharper fast, this role fits.

Focus Areas

Engineering

  • Contribute to feature development across the stack as needed
  • Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code
  • Debug issues raised during QA and production
  • Participate in sprint planning and task breakdown

Quality Assurance

  • Write and execute test cases from specs and user stories
  • Perform manual functional, regression, and UI/UX testing across web and mobile
  • Test REST APIs using Postman/Thunder Client
  • Conduct cross browser and responsive testing

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Report bugs with clear repro steps and severity/priority tagging (Jira/Linear/Notion)
  • Run regression testing before releases and deployments
  • Write basic automated test scripts where applicable (Playwright/Cypress/Jest)
  • Work closely with teammates to verify fixes and close the feedback loop

  • Playwright, Cypress, or Jest for basic automation

  • Debugging & Systematic Problem Solving
  • Detail Oriented QA Mindset
  • Clear Written Communication

Requirements

  • - Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP, time complexity basics
  • - TypeScript proficiency, or strong JavaScript with willingness to adopt TypeScript
  • - Comfort writing and executing test cases from specs and user stories
  • - Working knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Thunder Client
  • - Basic understanding of test automation tools (Playwright/Cypress/Jest)
  • - Comfort with Git and PR based workflows
  • - Strong debugging, systematic problem solving, and a real drive to learn
  • - Comfortable using and exploring AI tools in your development and testing workflow

You won't have mastered every tool listed. Real strength in the core stack, plus the curiosity to pick up the rest, is what matters.
